Depression - Team up with a buddy for help
Here are a few things to help you beat depression. Try each suggestion in order, and only one suggestion at a time. Try the first suggestion for one week before moving on to the second suggestion.
1)Sugar: Stop eating refined sugar and switch to God’s fresh fruit. Large amounts of sugar impairs frontal lobe functions and may cause depression.
Hypoglycemia: Low blood sugar can contribute to depression. Eat every two hours. Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nut, seeds and legumes (that’s beans). Eat whole foods for a whole person.
Food chemicals: Don’t eat anything you cannot pronounce or know what it is. Example: Propylene Glycol contributes to depression.
Over-the-counter medications cause depression: Example: Bismuth (used in anti-diarrhea medicine (pink liquid) can cause depression. (According to Neil Nedley, M.D.)
2) Taking Manganese and some supplements can cause depression in sensitive people. (According to Neil Nedley, M.D.)
Copper is another suppliment that is NOT suggested: Check your vitamins for copper. This may be the wrong amount for someone with depression. Only God knows the correct balance for your body. (According to Carl C. Pfeiffer, M.D., Ph.D.)
3) Gelatin Capsules: Limit eating them because of the process used to make them uses animal hoofs that may not be hormone free. Choose a vegetable-base capsule instead. Get your vitamins from your food is the best bet for bbeating depression.
4) Cleaning solvents: Fumes can be toxic to your emotions. Use vinegar, baking soda and other cleaners instead of toxic chemicals.
Cigarettes: chemicals are added to tobacco so it will burn evenly without puffing. These chemicals can cause depression.
5) Beware of drinking Alcohol: Until you get your emotions balanced, don’t let alcohol touch your lips. Alcohol is very difficult for the liver to process, and could cause unbalanced emotions.

8) Headache: Ask yourself why? You could have a food allergy. Anti-inflammatory drugs can contribute to depression.
9) Indigestion: anti-acid medications contribute to depression: Tagamet and Zantac. Try a two-day fast of just eating fresh fruits and vegatbles to see if the indigestion goes away.
10) Sleep. Depression can be caused by a lack of good, sound sleep. Try this: 30-minutes before bed, prepare for sleep:
1) don’t eat before bed.
2) don’t drink caffeine three hours before bed.
3) take a hot bath.
4) drink chamomile tea with some raw honey.
5) curl up with a good book.
11) “Normal” life problems: Losing a loved one, loss of a job, emotional problems that mean you are a “normal” living person. Talk out your problems with friends and family or see a profession so you can “process” your thoughts. Once you face the problem, it seems a little smaller.
12) Spirit: read your Bible every day. Prayer is good, but that is you talking to God. Allow God to talk to you—How? through reading your Bible.
Music: Listen to music that will inspire you, relax you and lift your spirits.
13) Unless you have had success with the other 12 suggestions, this 13th suggestion will be impossible for you to accomplish. It is the suggestion to Give: Focus on helping some one else every day. Giving yourself away is the best way to get yourself out of depression.
14) Exercise: Again, this suggestion is not possible with out first doing or attempting the other suggestions in this list. It would be silly to think you can exercise while you are depressed. You are on a merry-go-round that is spinning. Exercise will help by causing the extra blood pumping through your veins will contribute to better circulation for your brain that will help with depression. Plus your body will produce endorphins that will naturally lift your mood.
15) Lastly, negative people: Stay clear of negative people. People who complain can become a disease that is highly contagious and may contribute to depression. Talk positive self talk to yourself every day.
