Beware MSG has other names

Headaches, typical or threatening? Dr. H.C.A. Vogel, a naturopath for over 35 years said, “Let me point out that a headache per se is never an illness, only a symptom pointing to an illness that is causing it.” A headache is your body attempting to communicate a problem to you. Taking pain relievers is good for the pain, but never answers the “why” of your headache.
Finding the cause of the problem will take work and becoming a medical detective. But, if I told you that changing your diet meant that you could reduce your headaches by as much as 50 percent, would you do it?
The most common food allergens associated with headache are milk and milk products, corn, chocolate, pork, wheat, fish, nuts, eggs, chickens, onions, oranges, and caffeine. This list is not your death sentence, but just a starting point for your research and experiments.
Depending how painful your headaches are, you may want to take away all of these foods for a time and then slowly add one food at a time. When you add a food, only add one food at a time and wait at least 24 hours of being symptom free before add the next food. The two main keys to your success will be documentation of your experiments and perseverance. If you suspect you may be allergic to certain foods, do some experimenting with those foods first.
Most people who have headaches are familiar with Monosodium Glutamate or MSG, but did you know that MSG has other names? Yes, it does because food manufacturers know that there are savvy consumers who know MSG is not healthy, but need MSG to make their dead food taste fresh and alive. Here is a list to get you started. Until I swore myself off of ALL additives in my food, my migraines were plentiful. Now that my diet contains zero tolerance for additives, I am migraine and headache free. Amazing.

Migraine - Healthy Hearsay

Don't Bet Your Life

Health. The essential commodity that makes life worth living. When I saw a doctor because I was having migraines. I thought I needed a Physician to feel better. 40 million people in America suffer from migraines. Cancer is epidemic and is now one in three people will get some form of cancer. The American Cancer Society says that 80 percent of cancer could be eliminated by a lifestyle change. What's the change? Americans don't know. We rely on Healthy Hearsay to determine what to eat every day. What's Healthy Hearsay? Here's an example:

Joe wanted to get healthy. His friends told him he should stop drinking six beers every night. Good, right? Think again. Instead of six beers every evening, what did Joe chose to drink? He chose to drink six diet drinks. In three months, Joe was rushed to the emergency room for uncontrollable seizures. Related to the diet drinks? You bet! According to Russel Blaylock, M.D., a neuro-surgeon, NutraSweet kills brain cells and could cause a seizure. Health Hearsay takes another unsuspecting victim.

Oh, by the way, beer is made with hops. I am an herbalist. Women clients who need help balancing their estrogen can take hops to provide them with natural estrogen that give women their natural curves. Hops also gives beer drinkers their natural curve.

Woman long to hear three little words - do you know them? "You're not fat." Which brings me to my next Healthy Hearsay: Fad diets to lose weight. What's the difference between a wife and a girlfriend? About 20 pounds. Today 61% of adults are obese in America. Fad diets are not healthy. I went on a fad diet that allowed me to drink only wine and eat only vegetables. In ten days I lost five pounds - - and my driver's license. Diets don't work. The people who write diet books live off the fat of the land and the fat always comes back and brings a friend.

Fast food is the norm in America. Most people eat so fast they have to keep throwing water on their silverware so it doesn't overheat.

All restaurants serve enriched noodles, enriched bread, crackers, and desserts. When you order whole wheat bread at a restaurant, the FDA says it has to be 10 percent whole wheat. All beef franks have to be 10 percent beef. Kraft 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese isn't 100% cheese, it is 100% grated.

Look at me. How do you know when an advertiser is lying? When their lips are moving!

Food Manufacturers take out 23 nutrients out of our bread and add 6 little fake nutrients back and then call it enriched? Here's an example. If I came up to you and said, "I want to remove 23 of your teeth and give you six little fake teeth back - would you call your mouth enriched? Look this way. All purpose flour has no purpose. Enriched flour contributes to colon cancer and diabetes. Are you betting your life on Healthy Hearsay?

"No fat, low fat" Which is healthy? Neither! Another Healthy Hearsay killer. Margarine is not low fat, it is deadly fat. Don't eat it because it contributes to heart disease, diabetes, liver problems, migraine headaches and many more diseases too many to mention for a blog. Here's an experiment: Leave margarine on your kitchen counter and go on a two-week vacation. Will you have to call the bug man when you come home? No. Roaches won't eat margarine. Think about that! Roaches live on dust but will not eat your margarine. Margarine is dead food, you don't eat dead food - you bury it!

Last Healthy Hearsay. Vitamins. I'm always asked about taking vitamins. People tell me: "Our food doesn't have enough vitamins!" So, biotechnology steps in to raise food that has more vitamins and bugs don't want it. Think about that. If bugs, the lowest life form doesn't want to eat your food - - is it food? David Reuben, M.D. tells us that a year's supply of vitamins can be put in a head of a thimble. Vitamins only make sense if you sell vitamins. Vitamins are dead food. What do you do with dead food? Right, you bury it.

But, there is one time when vitamins are okay. Vitamins are made in the laboratory - right? When they successfully make people in the laboratory, they should feed those man-made people the man-made vitamins. Man-made vitamins for man-made people.

This is a God-made person, and we should eat God-made food. I thought I needed a Physician to become migraine free. What I needed was the Master Physician who designed my food. If it's processed food, it is an oxymoron because it's not food, it's just stuff. I am now migraine free because I don't eat stuff in my food anymore!

Topamax

If you take this medication, have you read this at Topamax's website? “Other serious risks include increased eye pressure (glaucoma), decreased sweating, increased body temperature, kidney stones, sleepiness, dizziness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating.”

Please realize ALL medication has a side effect. But, when you are in the middle of a migraine attack, who cares? Cutting my head off was okay by me. Little did I know then that I could reduce my risk of getting another migraine with a few lifestyle changes.

What is it like to have a migraine instead of just a headache? Well, what is a minnow compared to a whale? If a headache is a minnow, then a migraine is a whale. Rarely does anyone think of the side effects of the pain medication when they are in the middle of a migraine. I didn't! Or should I have said, “NEVER” instead of "rarely." Instead, "relief" is the only word that has any value to a migraine sufferer.

But, did you know that you can prepare for the next migraine today? Prepare? Sure, the problem with Topamax is you keep going back for more and more. But, what about the concept of preparing during the migraine off time that you have so you don't require the Topamax?

Most medication has a time when it works, and then there does come a time when Topamax doesn’t work any more. Then what? You graduate to taking an injection? Your body is resisting the medication because it has a message to deliver to you. Yes, your body is trying desperately to communicate with you. What does your body want to say?

“Hey, you – take care of me! I’m out of balance.” Simple message. Here’s how you can prevent your next migraine from coming so quickly. Get your body into balance.

Step 1) put down that diet drink and no one will get hurt. Yes, fake, man-made sugar causes many migraine sufferer’s lost time out of their life and confined to a dark room. If you need the “caffeine fix” switch to regular soft drink. Try it and see if you have less migraines. No, regular soft drinks won’t make you gain weight any faster than the diet soft drinks. Calorie counting is a lie, but we will cover that another time.
